DALLAS COUNTY, Ala. — A 17-year-old resident of Selma, Alabama, died on Friday afternoon following a single-vehicle crash, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) announced. The incident occurred when the teenager, operating a Ram 1500 pickup truck, veered off the road and struck several trees.
The crash took place around 1:20 p.m. on Dallas County Road 3 near its intersection with Dallas County Road 33. Emergency responders transported the victim to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The ALEA has not released the name of the deceased at this time.
Troopers from the ALEA Highway Patrol Division are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. Further details are expected as the investigation continues.
