DALLAS COUNTY, Ala. — A 17-year-old resident of Selma died following a pickup truck crash that occurred on Friday afternoon, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) reported.
The incident happened on Dallas County 3 near Dallas County 33 around 1:20 p.m. The teenager, who was operating a Ram 1500, veered off the road and struck multiple trees, sustaining serious injuries.
The victim was transported to a local hospital but was pronounced dead. The ALEA has not released the identity of the deceased.
Troopers from the ALEA Highway Patrol Agency are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
