The Kia PV5 car-derived van premiered at the 2025 Kia EV Day, marking a significant step in the company’s Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) strategy. This mid-sized vehicle is the first production model under this initiative.
From launch, the PV5 will be available in both passenger and cargo configurations, catering to a variety of needs. The electric van offers a range of up to 400 kilometers and boasts a 30-minute fast-charging capability, enhancing its practicality. Sales of the PV5 are slated to begin in the Korean and European markets in the second half of 2025.
The PV5 is built upon Kia’s advanced ‘E-GMP.S’ electric vehicle platform, known for its efficiency and performance. The design incorporates an open-box concept, providing versatile space and smart storage solutions tailored for both passenger and cargo applications.
The interior features a 7-inch instrument cluster and a 12.9-inch navigation screen, enhancing the driving experience with informative and user-friendly displays.
