Authorities Seek Help Identifying Hit-and-Run Suspect in Porter Township
The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance from the public to identify the suspect in a hit-and-run incident that occurred in Porter Township on February 27, 2025.
According to officials, the incident took place around 6:30 p.m. when an unidentified suspect drove off the road, resulting in a collision with a parked vehicle in a driveway. The driver of the parked vehicle sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The suspect then fled the scene, traveling west on County Road 669. The vehicle is described as a light-colored pickup truck with notable damage to the passenger side front fender area.
