Police Seek Public’s Help in Locating ‘MAGA’ Truck in Hit-and-Run
New York State Troopers are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a middle-aged white male connected to a hit-and-run incident last week in Westmoreland, NY. The vehicle in question is a pickup truck with “MAGA” displayed on its tailgate.

According to authorities, a surveillance camera captured images of the truck as it was leaving a car wash in the village on the late afternoon of February 27th. Investigators noted the absence of a front license plate, and the rear plate was obscured by dirt, making it difficult to identify the vehicle’s registration. Furthermore, the truck had the word “MAGA” written in white letters on a red tailgate.
The incident occurred at approximately 4:53 p.m. last Thursday. Troopers report that a white Toyota Tundra pickup truck was traveling southbound on Route 233 when the driver attempted to pass another vehicle that was preparing to turn right into a post office parking lot. While passing on the west shoulder of the road, the pickup truck struck the other vehicle, causing damage to the passenger side quarter panel and headlight. Following the collision, the driver of the pickup truck entered the Westmo Car Wash parking lot to assess the damage before exiting the lot and continuing southbound on Route 233 without exchanging information with the other driver.
