OCALA, Fla. – A 73-year-old man from Ocala was killed Tuesday night after being struck by a pickup truck.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers reported the incident occurred just after 11:30 p.m. on State Road 40 near Northwest 41st Avenue.
The man was walking in the eastbound lane of State Road 40 when the driver of the pickup truck, who was traveling east, did not see him and struck him.
Marion County Fire Rescue officials confirmed the 73-year-old man died at the scene.
