Ocala Man Killed in SR-40 Crash
OCALA, Fla. – A 73-year-old man from Ocala was killed Tuesday night after being hit by a pickup truck on State Road 40, the Florida Highway Patrol reported.
The accident occurred around 11:45 p.m. near NW 41st Avenue. According to the FHP crash report, the man was walking in the eastbound lane of SR-40 when he was struck.
Emergency responders pronounced the man dead at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck, a 42-year-old Ocala man, was not injured in the incident.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
