    Chevrolet Unveils New Silverado EV Trail Boss and ZR2 Race Concept at MINT 400

    Chevrolet is showcasing two new Silverado pickup trucks at this year’s MINT 400 off-road race in Las Vegas, Nevada. The lineup includes the production-ready Chevy Silverado EV Trail Boss and the Silverado EV ZR2 off-road race concept truck.

    This isn’t just a showpiece. The ZR2 off-road concept truck will compete in the MINT 400 race in the Open Production EV class. According to Chevrolet, the Silverado EV ZR2 racing truck uses 98% production components. It boasts a modified suspension system and racing enhancements designed for driver safety. The suspension is lifted and features specific tuning along with Multimatic Adaptive Spool Valve damper technology, which Chevrolet describes as comparable to the FOX Live Valve (Ford Raptor) and Bilstein Blackhawk e2 (Ram RHO/TRX) shocks. The ZR2 race truck offers 13 inches of suspension travel in both the front and rear, along with locking differentials and special underbody skid plates. The lifted suspension accommodates 37-inch BFGoodrich KM3 tires. The electric power system delivers a maximum of 1,100 horsepower. Veteran off-road racer Chad Hall will pilot this truck.

    2026 Chevy Silverado EV Trail Boss

    The EV Trail Boss is scheduled to go on sale later this year; however, the exact release date has not been announced. This is the first off-road variant of the Silverado EV platform. It is equipped with 35-inch all-terrain tires. Chevrolet states that it features a distinct Terrain Mode that assists off-road driving and enhances maneuverability.
