Dacia Vaner 2024: New Renderings of a Potential Cheap Van
Last June, a digital rendering of a potential Dacia van, the Vaner 2024, caught the attention of many, including Motor1.com readers. Now, fresh computer-generated images have emerged, further showcasing this intriguing concept.
These new images, created by Andrei Dila, offer a more detailed look at the hypothetical vehicle. The renderings depict the van in various colors, including a particularly striking orange. They highlight design features such as the sliding side doors with glass openings, the double rear doors, and the spacious cargo area, which appears to be lined with durable plastic.
Other notable design elements include tinted rear windows and distinctive wheel rims. The overall aesthetic resonates with the Dacia brand’s design language, incorporating the corporate grille and Y-shaped daytime running lights and a crossover-style underbody protection.
If produced, the Vaner could potentially borrow engines from the Renault Trafic, a “cousin” model. These could include the Blue dCi diesel engines, offering outputs of 110, 150, and 170 horsepower. The van’s design would likely cater to various needs with options for different lengths, seating configurations, and load capacities. The Vaner could tap into the popular camper van market.
If launched in the UK, the Vaner could potentially carry a starting price around £21,000, and would be a great addition to Dacia’s already successful line-up. This includes the best-selling Sandero, the new Duster, the versatile Jogger, and the affordable Spring electric vehicle. The question remains: should the brand capitalize on the public’s strong interest in this van concept?
