School Bus and Truck Collide in Brick, Causing Injuries
BRICK, NJ – Several individuals sustained injuries following a collision between a pickup truck and a school bus in Brick Township on Thursday, March 6th, according to local authorities.
At approximately 8:21 a.m., officers were called to the 200 block of Cherry Quay Road. Police reports indicate that the driver of the pickup truck was following too closely, resulting in a rear-end collision with the school bus, according to the Brick Township Police Department.
Minor injuries were reported as a result of the incident, police confirmed. First responders and school personnel worked to ensure the safe release of students. Parents were present at the scene to receive their children, and the remaining students were transported safely to school.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing, officials stated.
