The Mercedes-Benz GLC, a popular luxury SUV, is slated to receive an all-electric variant, with an anticipated launch in 2026.
This new model will join the existing petrol and diesel versions of the GLC, providing consumers with a battery-powered alternative to combustion engine offerings.
The upcoming electric GLC is designed to compete with other electric SUVs in the market, specifically the BMW iX3 and Audi Q6 e-tron.

Starting at the front, the 2026 Mercedes GLC EV gets sleek new headlights, which are reminiscent of those found on the Mercedes EQE.
The EV version’s front grille is closed off to enhance aerodynamics, a standard feature in electric cars.

The new GLC EV has a similar side profile to the larger EQE SUV.
Flush-fitting door handles are taken directly from the rest of the Mercedes range.

At the rear, the three-pointed star LED design is visible in the taillights, similar to the upcoming Mercedes CLA.

The new Mercedes GLC EV won’t share any parts with the outgoing EQC.
The electric GLC will be equipped with an 800-volt electrical system for quick charging.
Expect to see a choice of single and dual-motor options, and a range exceeding 300 miles.
The new Mercedes GLC EV is expected to be revealed in 2026, with sales beginning before the end of the year. Pricing details have not yet been disclosed, but it is anticipated to be more expensive than the older EQC model, which had a starting price of around £70,000.
