The factory built railway wagons but later moved into motor vehicle production. Dartz’s founder, Leonard F Yankelovich, has a great-grandfather who was one of the shareholders. Post RBVZ, two successors emerged in the early 2000s; one resurrected the former Russo-Balt name, while the other became Dartz, which found its niche in ultra-luxury.
