A man is in critical condition after a pickup truck overturned and crashed into a tree in Greenlawn, Suffolk County, police reported on Monday, March 10.
According to authorities, the driver was traveling northwest on Greenlawn Road in a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado when the vehicle veered off the road near Ducharme Lane. The truck then struck a tree and flipped over at approximately 9:35 p.m. on Sunday, March 9.
Emergency responders from Greenlawn Rescue promptly transported the man to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he remains in critical condition. His identity is being withheld pending notification of his family.
The Silverado has been impounded for a safety inspection as the investigation continues. Detectives from the Second Squad are urging anyone with information regarding the crash to contact them at 631-854-8252.
