Jaguar’s latest concept car, the Type 00, made a dramatic entrance at Paris Fashion Week, immediately commanding attention.
Irish actor Barry Keoghan, known for his role in “Saltburn,” stepped out of the vehicle, grabbing headlines and sparking widespread online interest. A video of the actor’s arrival has gone viral.
The Jaguar Type 00, a concept car with a striking design, is expected to be priced upwards of £100,000 when it eventually goes into production. Keoghan’s appearance showcased the car’s extravagant blue chrome wrap, perfectly embodying the vehicle’s “Command Attention” tagline.
This unveiling is a key move for Jaguar, which recently completed a rebranding, including a new logo, color scheme, and brand strategy. The company is positioning itself as a luxury electric vehicle manufacturer, with plans to release its first new production car later this year.
The Type 00’s unveiling in December 2024 initially received mixed reactions. The car’s unconventional, boxy design drew comparisons to science fiction vehicles, and its minimalist aesthetic, featuring large wheels and slender lights, raised some eyebrows. Furthermore, some criticized Jaguar, a part of the Tata Motors-owned Jaguar Land Rover group, for removing its iconic Jaguar animal logo.
However, the car’s eye-catching arrival at Paris Fashion Week proves the conversation surrounding the Type 00 is far from over.
