Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is sidelined with a groin injury, but his wife, Savannah James, is keeping busy. She recently took to social media to share a glimpse of her night out, cruising in James’s prized vintage Bronco.
James, a four-time NBA champion, has often shown off the classic vehicle. The Bronco boasts a powerful Generation 3 Coyote Mustang Automatic engine and a custom chassis, marrying vintage style with modern performance. This time, it was Savannah, the mother of their three children, behind the wheel. She shared a video on her Instagram Stories, captioning the post, “Cute little night ride.”
James, known for his dominance on the court for over two decades, owns several high-end vehicles. However, his focus is currently on recovery. Following the Lakers’ loss to the Boston Celtics, James initially downplayed the severity of his groin injury.
However, according to a report from NBA insider Shams Charania on X (formerly Twitter), James is expected to miss one to two weeks. Charania tweeted, “Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is expected to miss at least 1-to-2 weeks with a groin strain, sources tell ESPN. James will wait for the groin injury to calm down over the next 24 hours and receive another evaluation.”
This isn’t the first time James has dealt with a groin injury during his Lakers tenure. In his first season with the team, he missed 27 games due to a similar issue. Fortunately, the current prognosis suggests a shorter absence. Earlier this season, James also missed the All-Star game due to foot and ankle problems, marking the first time he’d missed the event since his debut.
Throughout the last few seasons, James has managed his workload to extend his career at a high level. The Lakers forward has strategically sat out a number of games, carefully managing his body and preserving his performance for the most crucial matchups.
