Volkswagen is expanding its electric vehicle lineup with the ID. EVERY1 concept car, a compact, all-electric model targeting a 2027 launch in Europe. This new vehicle aims to provide affordable electric mobility with an anticipated starting price of around 20,000 euros.

The ID. EVERY1 joins the Electric Urban Car Family, a range of front-wheel-drive EVs built on the MEB platform. Volkswagen plans to introduce the ID. 2all in 2026, priced at approximately 25,000 euros. The ID. EVERY1 aims to be the most affordable option, designed and built for the European market.

“The ID. EVERY1 is the last piece of the puzzle on our journey to having the widest model selection in the volume segment,” stated Thomas Schäfer, CEO of Volkswagen Passenger Cars. “We will then offer every customer the right car with the right drive system – including affordable entry-level all-electric mobility.”

Kai Grünitz, a member of the Volkswagen Brand Board of Management, highlighted the customer-centric approach, stating that the ID. EVERY1 reflects a shift towards prioritizing customer needs and preferences in vehicle development. This commitment extends to software, with the production model of the ID. EVERY1 slated to use a new software architecture. This will enable the addition of new features throughout the vehicle’s lifespan.

The ID. EVERY1’s design builds on the legacy of the up!, the model it succeeds. Volkswagen Head of Design Andreas Mindt emphasized the design team’s ambition to create a bold yet accessible car with distinctive features, such as dynamic front lights and a ‘smiling’ rear.

The ID. EVERY1’s specifications include a top speed of 130 km/h, a newly developed electric motor with 70 kW (95 PS), and a range of at least 250 kilometers. Measuring 3,880 mm in length, the car provides space for four passengers and offers a luggage compartment volume of 305 liters.

The ID. EVERY1 is a key element of Volkswagen’s broader electric model campaign, outlined in the “Future Volkswagen” agreement. This three-phase plan focuses first on strengthening competitiveness, launching new models through 2027, which will encompass both the ID.2all and the ID. EVERY1. By 2030, Volkswagen aims to be the technologically leading, high-volume automotive manufacturer, with the goal of offering the safest, most innovative, and best-selling cars.
