Dashcam footage recorded a harrowing incident on the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge in New York where a wooden board flew off a truck and crashed into a family’s windshield.
The event occurred on Wednesday, March 5th, when the driver of a pickup truck stopped in a highway lane, seemingly to adjust a large wooden board secured to the back of his vehicle. Due to the high winds common on the bridge, the board was dislodged and swept across the lanes, smashing into the windshield of a passing car.
The driver of the affected car, David Deng, and his family were fortunately uninjured in the frightening event.
