Volkswagen has announced the ID. EVERY1, an all-electric entry-level model slated for a 2027 debut. Positioned as part of the Electric Urban Car Family alongside the ID. 2all, the ID. EVERY1 is designed to be accessible, with a starting price of approximately 20,000 euros. This new offering signifies Volkswagen’s commitment to expanding electric vehicle options for a broad consumer base.

The ID. EVERY1 is crafted with a sporty aesthetic and a versatile interior. It will offer advanced digital features, making it appealing to a range of customers, including private buyers and businesses in sectors like delivery and care services. A key feature is its innovative software architecture, which will enable lifelong updates and upgrades, allowing the car to adapt to user needs over time. This customer-centric approach is a significant step for Volkswagen.

The ID. EVERY1 offers:
- Affordable pricing: Starting around 20,000 euros
- Launch date: 2027
- Part of the Electric Urban Car Family
- Sporty design and versatile interior
- Advanced digital features
- New software architecture for lifelong updates
- Based on MEB platform with front-wheel drive
The design of the ID. EVERY1 seeks to combine boldness with approachability. Andreas Mindt, Volkswagen’s Head of Design, stated, “Our ambition was to create something bold yet accessible. The ID. EVERY1 has a self-assured appearance but remains likeable – thanks to details such as the dynamic front lights and the ‘smiling’ rear. These design elements make it more than just a car: they give it character and an identity that people can relate to.”

Internally, the car provides space for four occupants and has a 305-liter luggage compartment. Constructed on Volkswagen’s MEB platform with front-wheel drive, the ID. EVERY1 is designed to maximize space and efficiency within its compact dimensions. The concept vehicle features a 70 kW (95 PS) electric motor, a top speed of 130 km/h (81 mph), and a range of at least 250 kilometers (155 miles).

Measuring 3,880 mm (12.7 feet) in length, the ID. EVERY1 fits between the previous up! and the current Polo in size, making it suitable for urban environments. The innovative software, which allows for lifelong updates, is a highlight. Kai Grünitz, a member of the Volkswagen Brand Board of Management, said, “In the future model, we talk about Customer Defined Vehicles. The ID. EVERY1 shows that we are putting our customers, their wishes, interests and preferences at the centre of vehicle development more consistently than ever.”
Volkswagen’s aim is to provide affordable, accessible mobility echoing the legacy of the Beetle. By 2027, the company intends to roll out a series of new models, including four electric vehicles on the MEB platform. By 2030, Volkswagen aims to be a technological leader in the high-volume segment, offering a wide range of vehicles.
