MrBeast’s High-Speed Test Ends in Crash with Advanced Electric Race Car

Miami, Mar 7, 2025 – The world’s biggest YouTuber, MrBeast, encountered an unexpected mishap during a high-speed test of the cutting-edge GEN3 Evo race car at the Miami International Autodrome.
James Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, was participating in the Evo Sessions event, which brought together global celebrities and influencers. The goal of the event was for MrBeast to experience the advanced racing technology of a Formula E car.
MrBeast began cautiously, following the Porsche Taycan Safety Car to familiarize himself with the track and the immense power of the GEN3 Evo. The car, known for its rapid acceleration, can reach 60 mph in just 1.82 seconds, which is 30% faster than its Formula 1 counterparts.
His first lap passed without incident, however, on his second lap things went awry. While navigating a left-hand turn in Sector 1, MrBeast lost control of the car, causing a full 360-degree spin before it clipped the wall on the left side.
Fortunately, the crash caused no injuries, and MrBeast was able to exit the vehicle without assistance. The incident did, however, force a temporary pause in the session while the damaged Cupra Kiro GEN3 Evo car was removed from the track.
Despite the sudden incident, MrBeast maintained a lighthearted attitude. Upon returning to the pit lane following the wreck, MrBeast joked, “I did the thing…” adding some much-needed levity to the situation. His comment generated laughter from the team, including Cupra Kiro teammate Dan Ticktum.
The Evo Sessions event welcomed stars such as former football player Sergio Aguero, actor Tom Felton, and car enthusiast Supercar Blondie. MrBeast’s involvement was a special collaboration with the Cupra Kiro team and was said to be part of a new video project.
While his track time was cut short, MrBeast’s experience highlighted the power of these state-of-the-art race cars, even for someone known for pushing boundaries in their video content.
