Cadillac Introduces the Lyriq-V: A Powerful Electric SUV
Cadillac is expanding its V-series lineup with the introduction of the Lyriq-V, an all-electric SUV designed to offer a combination of performance and luxury. The new model builds on the existing Lyriq, adding enhanced power and distinctive features, solidifying Cadillac’s commitment to electric vehicles. This information comes from Green Car Reports.
According to Green Car Reports, the Lyriq-V is set to be produced at GM’s Spring Hill Manufacturing plant in Tennessee, with production scheduled to begin this spring. The vehicle is priced at $79,990, including a destination charge.
Key Features and Performance
The Lyriq-V will utilize the standard Lyriq’s 102-kilowatt-hour battery pack. However, the dual-motor powertrain has been upgraded to deliver 615 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. This enhanced performance is a key differentiator for the V-series model. Cadillac estimates a range of 285 miles on a full charge, and the dual-motor configuration will provide all-wheel drive.
Benefits of Electric Vehicle Ownership
While the Lyriq-V represents the most expensive version of the Lyriq, electric vehicle ownership offers cost-saving benefits, including reduced maintenance expenses and fuel savings. EVs eliminate the need for oil changes and have lower fuel costs, which can result in significant savings over time. In addition to lower running costs EVs offer a quieter and more comfortable driving experience. Furthermore, electric vehicles produce zero tailpipe emissions, contributing to a reduced environmental impact.
Additional Features
The 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V features several innovative additions, including a V-mode for customizable settings, a carbon fiber trim option, and a V-specific sound profile, described by Cadillac as a “multilayer experience exclusive for the V.”
