MILLERSBURG — A pickup truck collided with two horses that had wandered onto the roadway Wednesday just west of Millersburg, the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office reported. The driver sustained injuries, and the horses were killed in the accident.
The accident occurred around 7:39 a.m. Wednesday, approximately one mile west of Millersburg. According to the Sheriff’s Office, the driver, identified as 60-year-old Timothy Miller, was driving a 2018 Ford pickup truck westbound when the collision occurred. When the truck hit the horses, the driver was injured.
Miller was transported to Goshen Hospital following the accident and was treated for injuries, reports indicated. One of the horses was confirmed dead at the scene, and the other was euthanized due to its injuries, authorities said.
