Students Hospitalized After School Bus and Truck Collide
Four students were taken to the hospital for evaluation after a crash involving a school bus and a pickup truck in Farmington, according to the Farmington Police Department.
The accident occurred around 11:20 a.m. at the intersection of Front Street and Main Street.
Police reported that the pickup truck was following behind the bus on Front Street.
When the bus stopped at the intersection, the pickup truck struck it at a low speed, authorities said. The bus was carrying 37 students at the time of the crash.
Fourteen students were assessed at the scene and released. The remaining four, who sustained suspected minor injuries were transported to Franklin Memorial Hospital for evaluation.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
Authorities reported minor damage to the truck and no significant damage to the school bus. The investigation is ongoing.
