In a period marked by a 47% increase in users compared to February 2024, Portugal’s public electric charging network, Mobi.e, is approaching 6,000 charging stations.
According to Mobi.e, the company’s infrastructure has “kept pace with the growth in demand.” The network provided 5,976 stations at the end of February, which equates to a total of 11,083 charging points, allowing multiple vehicles to charge simultaneously.
Of these, more than 2,270 were fast or ultra-fast charging stations, with a power output exceeding 22 kW, thereby representing 38% of the entire network. Mobi.e data further indicates that there are, on average, 90 charging sockets per 100 kilometers of road and 122 sockets per 100,000 inhabitants.
