At approximately 2:09 PM on Friday afternoon, a pickup truck struck two women in their 40s near Citygate Outlets in Tung Chung, Hong Kong.

One of the women, a 45-year-old identified as Ms. Yeung, lost consciousness at the scene. The other woman, a 43-year-old surnamed Cheng, remained conscious.

Both women were subsequently transported to Princess Margaret Hospital for medical treatment.

Following the incident, the area was cordoned off by the police, who initiated an investigation.

The Transport Department announced that, due to the accident, some lanes on Tat Tung Road near Citygate Outlets were temporarily closed. Motorists were advised to use the remaining lanes, and congestion was reported in the area.
After a preliminary investigation, police arrested a 56-year-old male driver, surnamed Cheung, on suspicion of dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm. He is currently being detained for further investigation.
