Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 Now in India
Mercedes-Benz India has introduced the Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series to the Indian market. This luxury roadster, unveiled in 2024, is touted as the most dynamic Maybach ever created. Only three units of the SL Maybach have been allocated for this year. Customer consultations have commenced, and deliveries are slated to begin in the first quarter of 2026.

The Maybach SL 680 takes the foundation of the standard SL 63 Roadster and elevates it with signature Maybach design elements. Its aggressive styling is enhanced by an illuminated vertical-slat front grille adorned with chrome accents and MAYBACH lettering. The Obsidian Black bonnet features Maybach logos, which buyers can optionally have embossed into the soft-top fabric roof as part of the customization program.

On the sides, the luxury car boasts 21-inch forged wheels with 36 slender spokes, converging at the iconic three-pointed star in the center. A refined chrome strip elegantly stretches along the body between the wheels, complementing the chrome accents on the door handles and front fenders. At the rear, a streamlined bumper with subtle chrome detailing provides a more understated appearance compared to the standard SL roadster.
Inside, the SL 680 mirrors the dashboard layout of the standard model, but with exclusive touches. The dashboard and seats are finished in white Nappa leather. Other interior enhancements include a satin silver finish on the AC vents and Maybach logos on the roll hoops. The car is equipped with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and an 11.9-inch central touchscreen infotainment system powered by Mercedes’ AI-driven MBUX multimedia system, ensuring an intuitive user experience.
Under the hood, the SL 680 shares its powertrain with the SL 63 but is tuned for increased performance. It is powered by a 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V8 engine that generates 585 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission, which sends power to all four wheels. This configuration allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in just 4.1 seconds. Furthermore, the exhaust system has been refined to minimize cabin noise, and the suspension has been optimized to enhance ride comfort.
