Minivans continue to be a great choice for families needing space, safety, and fuel efficiency. But which ones deliver the most value for your money in 2025?

The Best Value Minivans of 2025

With the price of new vehicles constantly increasing, finding a car that provides the best value is important, especially for families. While SUVs have become increasingly popular, minivans still offer unparalleled practicality. They might not be considered as stylish, but their functionality remains unmatched.

The U.S. News & World Report “Best Car for the Money” awards highlight vehicles that offer a strong combination of quality and value. Quality is determined by overall scores from their rankings, which consider expert reviews, safety ratings, fuel economy, and reliability data. Value is assessed using TrueCar average transaction prices and Vincentric five-year total cost of ownership data.

Note: Scores on the U.S. News site update regularly, so the figures in this article may not perfectly match those in their reviews.

    2025 Chrysler Pacifica

    2025 Chrysler Pacifica
    Starting at $42,450 | 5-Year Cost of Ownership: $73,928 | Overall Score: 9.2/10

Although not the cheapest, the Chrysler Pacifica offers a competitive price point within its segment. Its average transaction price is in the middle range. Despite alternatives offering lower costs, this minivan boasts valuable features that justify the expense. With plenty of user-friendly technology and a new base trim for 2025, the Pacifica aims to be more accessible to a broader range of buyers.

    Quality

The Pacifica earns high marks for its quality, though some areas show where costs have been cut. It includes many standard features and useful options to improve the driving experience. Key features include a standard auto-dimming rearview mirror and garage door opener, along with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a user-friendly interface. Available options include Nappa leather, a dual-pane panoramic roof, a rear-row entertainment system, and an in-cabin camera system. However, these comfort features can significantly raise the Pacifica’s price.

    2025 Kia Carnival

    2025 Kia Carnival
    Starting at $36,800 | 5-Year Cost of Ownership: $64,480 | Overall Score: 8.8/10

The Kia Carnival presents excellent value, even if it scores slightly lower than some competitors. It boasts one of the lowest starting prices in its class, comes equipped with a wide range of standard features, and is supported by Kia’s industry-leading warranty. The Carnival’s average transaction price remains competitive, even if its total cost of ownership is slightly higher than some rivals. Furthermore, the 2025 model features updated infotainment and refreshed interior and exterior styling.

    Quality

The Kia Carnival comes loaded with features. The 2025 model, for instance, now includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with a newly standard 12.3-inch touchscreen. The seats are comfortable throughout, and the Carnival offers one of the most spacious third rows in its class. Second-row lounge seating is also available, improving comfort at the expense of some cargo space. Overall, the Carnival is a comfortable and upscale option with many available features.

    2025 Toyota Sienna

    2025 Toyota Sienna
    Starting at $39,185 | 5-Year Cost of Ownership: $55,038 | Overall Score: 8.9/10

While the Toyota Sienna has a good set of standard features, including an upgraded infotainment system with standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, its average transaction price is the highest compared to the others on this list. This suggests that Sienna buyers tend to spend more to get the features they desire. This could indicate buyers aren’t happy with the base models or those optional features are worth the cost. Still, the Sienna has the lowest total cost of ownership in this group, helping to balance its value over time.

    Quality

The Toyota Sienna is a standard hybrid, resulting in fantastic fuel economy. However, the engine can be loud, which slightly diminishes the upscale cabin feel. Apart from the engine noise, the Sienna has good quality overall. Passengers can enjoy a smooth and comfortable ride. It’s spacious with enough room for adults in all three rows. Synthetic leather seats are standard, and real leather is available.

    2025 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid

2025 Chrysler Pacifica Plug In Hybrid
    Starting at $51,055 | 5-Year Cost of Ownership: $64,091 | Overall Score: 9.3/10

The Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid is a great value. Though it is more expensive, this version is one of only two hybrid vehicles in this segment (the other being the Toyota Sienna) and the only plug-in hybrid. The Pacifica Hybrid is essentially in a class of its own. While its MSRP and average transaction price are among the highest in the class, the average transaction price is often lower than the base price, indicating good deals are available.

    Quality

The only quality complaint about the Pacifica Hybrid is that the cabin’s fit and finish are a little less upscale in the lower trim levels, with a touch too much plastic trim. However, this minivan’s virtues may win over many shoppers. The plug-in hybrid powertrain provides smooth acceleration and great fuel economy ratings, as well as up to 32 miles of electric-only travel. In higher trim levels, features like hands-free sliding side doors will impress busy parents, and it’s hard to pass up the Pacifica Hybrid’s plushly quilted premium leather upholstery option.

    2025 Honda Odyssey

    2025 Honda Odyssey
    Starting at $42,220 | 5-Year Cost of Ownership: $67,179 | Overall Score: 9.3/10

The Honda Odyssey wins the 2025 “Best Minivans for the Money” award. It offers the best mix of value and quality in its class. The Odyssey has a reasonable base price for its features. Furthermore, the average sale price of an Odyssey is the lowest among the minivans on this list and close to its actual base price. This suggests that many buyers don’t feel the need to spend extra on options, which shows that this vehicle provides great value.

    Quality

Honda equips the Odyssey with practical and desirable features, both standard and optional. Standard features include a lot of advanced safety and driver-assistance technology. Notable Odyssey features include Magic Slide seats that move forward and backward and can be folded or removed. The Odyssey offers a smooth driving experience. Available options include leather upholstery and a built-in vacuum cleaner. Honda also offers in-cabin microphone and camera systems to help keep an eye on backseat passengers and hold conversations without shouting, making the Odyssey a top choice for families.
