Longbow, a new British manufacturer, is aiming to redefine the classic British sports car with an electrified approach. The company, adopting the motto ‘Celeritas Levitas’ (the speed of lightness), is stepping into the world of electric vehicles with the goal of capturing the thrilling driving experience synonymous with British sports cars.

Founded by a team experienced in the electric vehicle sector, with backgrounds at industry leaders like Tesla and Lucid Motors, Longbow is focusing on enthusiast-driven electric sports cars. Their first two models, the Speedster and the Roadster, are designed with lightweight construction and driver-focused agility in mind. These cars are intended to evoke the spirit of legendary British sports cars such as the Jaguar E-type and the Lotus Elise.
Both models feature a bespoke aluminum chassis, ensuring a balance of performance and handling. The Speedster offers a unique open-top, barchetta body style for an uninhibited driving experience, while the Roadster presents a closed coupe configuration. The vehicles are designed, engineered, and hand-built in the UK. Production will be limited to a total of 150 examples across both models. The Luminary First Edition of the Speedster is capped at 10 units, and the Autograph Edition at 25. The Roadster’s Luminary First Edition will consist of 50 cars, with the Autograph Edition limited to 100 units. Longbow is seeking to blend time-honored British sports car characteristics with contemporary electric technology in its new Roadster and Speedster.
