Mercedes-Benz has unveiled its new VanSolution program, designed to simplify the process of ordering and customizing its Sprinter and eSprinter vans for business clients. This new offering allows for factory-installed upfitting, featuring shelves, racking, and other cargo-carrying enhancements.

The VanSolution program integrates with existing aftermarket solutions from preferred vendors. The system is created to make the vans more useful for the people who depend on them. When a Sprinter or eSprinter leaves the factory in Charleston, South Carolina, it can take one of several paths. It may: go directly to the shipping yard; or, it can go to a Mercedes-Benz USA Vehicle Processing Center. Both options allow for customers to receive their customized order.
According to the company, a key advantage of VanSolution is the streamlined ordering process. Previously, businesses had to handle separate transactions for the van itself and the aftermarket equipment. VanSolution offers a single invoice, simplifying the purchasing experience. “By leveraging our extensive dealer network and industry-leading expertise, we are reshaping the way vocational upfits are delivered, ensuring that our customers receive integrated solutions that streamline both the ordering and invoicing process,” explained Iain Forsyth, Director, Product Management and Marketing, Vans.
The initial product offering in the VanSolution package is a shelving system from Ranger Design. These shelves are installed at the Mercedes-Benz facility and are available for ordering alongside a new van. The shelving system, designed to maximize efficiency, includes shelves for both sides of the cargo area. This option is affordably priced, starting at $3,152 when ordered through Sprinter dealers. Customers will also need to add a partition solution for safety reasons.
In addition to the factory-installed options, VanSolution provides easier access to local upgrades. Local Ranger Design distributors can install options tailored to the buyers’ specific needs. Customers can now manage the entire transaction through their Mercedes-Benz Vans dealer. Ranger Design offers various other upfitting options, including ladder racks, locking cabinets, and flooring solutions to maximize the utility of the Sprinter’s cargo area. Order books for the Ranger Design Equipment Shelving are now open through MB Commercial Van dealers. Luxurious van upfitting options may become available in the future.
