A Lake City woman died Wednesday night after being hit by a pickup truck in Columbia County.
The 54-year-old woman was struck by a Ford F350 just before 8:30 p.m. on US Highway 441 near NW Quinten Street, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
The truck was heading northbound on US Highway 441 when the woman was in the same lane directly in the vehicle’s path. The front of the truck hit her. She was pronounced dead at the scene, the release stated.
