Introduction of the All-New Lexus ES
The all-new Lexus ES has made its world premiere, marking the introduction of an eighth generation of the global luxury sedan. The new model builds upon the foundation of the current ES, delivering significant improvements in performance, refinement, comfort, and luxury appointments. The ES continues Lexus’ commitment to “making luxury personal” by addressing modern customers’ priorities and concerns.
Design: Clean Tech x Elegance
The ES has been developed with a new Lexus design concept: Clean Tech x Elegance. This approach combines functional elements with a greater emotional quality, resulting in a simple and clean design aesthetic. The exterior styling presents a bold presence with a minimalist approach, advancing Lexus’ vision for next-generation battery electric vehicle design.

The frontal design features a sharply defined spindle shape extending across the bonnet to the bumper edges, creating a strong and distinctive appearance. The hybrid models include a grille with upper apertures for optimal cooling performance. The front lights introduce a twin L-signature that will become a new Lexus icon for the electrification era.
Powertrains: The Lexus Multi-Pathway Strategy
The new ES offers a range of powertrains as part of Lexus’ multi-pathway strategy towards carbon neutrality. This includes self-charging hybrid models (ES 300h and ES 350h) and battery electric models (ES 350e and ES 500e). The ES 300h features a redesigned self-charging hybrid system with a 2.5-litre in-line four-cylinder engine, producing 201 DIN hp. Both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions will be available.
Chassis and Handling
The new ES is constructed on a redesigned Lexus global architecture-K platform, accommodating both self-charging hybrid and battery electric powertrains. The vehicle’s structure has been thoroughly re-examined, resulting in increased overall length and wheelbase compared to the previous model. This provides a more spacious cabin and improved ride quality.
Advanced Safety Features
The new ES benefits from enhancements to the Lexus Safety System + technologies and features. These include Adaptive Cruise Control that now integrates map data to support deceleration when approaching stop signs and roundabouts, and a Pre-Collision Safety system with expanded detection capabilities. The ES also introduces a Driver Monitor System that detects driver distraction or fatigue.
New Digital Cockpit
The ES features a brand-new digital cockpit experience integrating a 12.3-inch combimeter, a new 14-inch LexusConnect multimedia system, and the LexusLink + app. LexusConnect navigation in electric ES models will include charging stations along the route and monitor the live state of charge, reducing range anxiety.
The all-new Lexus ES is set to be launched in Europe from spring 2026, with local specifications to be announced in due course.
