Antique Truck Show Celebrates Milestone
The Antique Truck Club of America’s western Massachusetts chapter is gearing up for its 20th annual show, making the event itself nearly old enough to be considered ‘antique’ by the club’s standards. The rain-or-shine event will take place on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at the Yankee Candle Corporate Headquarters in South Deerfield.

The show, which begins at 8 a.m. and runs until 2 p.m., will feature a diverse range of antique pickup trucks, vintage tractor trailers, and other vehicles. Chapter president Phil Judd emphasized that despite the milestone, it’s ‘business as usual’ with a focus on showcasing the trucks.
Admission is free, and parking is available on-site at no cost. Visitors can expect various food vendors, including Local Burgy and Ol Buckets Maple Kettle Corn, as well as raffles throughout the day. A $100 door prize will be awarded to participants who enter their trucks into the show.

The number of trucks attending the show varies annually, often influenced by weather conditions. In 2023, the event saw 200 trucks, while the 2024 show was attended by about 75 trucks due to unfavorable weather.

Regular attendees Kathy and Doug Richardson have been to all 20 shows held at this location. They praise the event for fostering a sense of community among antique truck enthusiasts. The Richardsons will be bringing three trucks, including a rare 1972 Brockway model.

The western Massachusetts chapter welcomes new members and those interested in antique trucks. Registration will be available at the show for those looking to join.
