Toronto police are investigating a suspected arson following a fire at a luxury car dealership in Etobicoke early Wednesday morning.
Fire crews responded to a two-alarm blaze at Vehicle Direct Group, situated near Islington Avenue and Norseman Street, around 2:45 a.m. on March 19, 2025. According to a spokesperson from Toronto Fire, firefighters encountered smoke emanating from both sides of the building, but they quickly contained the flames. No injuries were reported.

Authorities are treating the incident as an arson case, a Toronto police spokesperson confirmed to CityNews. “It’s too early in the investigation to provide more details,” the spokesperson stated. “Police remain on the scene. There are no road closures.”
Investigators discovered a gas can and a propane cylinder at the scene. Police also noted that nearby security cameras may aid in the investigation.

Vehicle Direct Group’s website indicates the business specializes in selling luxury and exotic vehicles.
