Audi Launches Redesigned A6 Avant
JAKARTA – Audi has recently launched the latest A6 Avant model in the European market, showcasing a more dynamic design with a modern flair tailored for urban driving. This model, styled as a pickup, incorporates various enhancements, including a sportier appearance compared to the standard version, adaptive air suspension, improved driving comfort, and increased performance from gasoline and diesel engines equipped with mild-hybrid technology.
Audi CEO Gernot Dollner highlighted how the new A6 Avant combines elegant and dynamic designs with exceptional aerodynamics. “The A6 class combines an efficient but high-performance driving system, as well as cutting-edge suspension technology. This combination of sporty character and a high level of comfort makes travel an experience,” he said on the brand’s official website on Wednesday, March 5.

The latest A6 Avant emphasizes a sporty character while maintaining functionality. This is apparent in its design and aerodynamics, which offer a drag coefficient as low as 0.25. Key features contributing to this include a controlled front air intake, striking roof spoilers, and strategic aerodynamic panels on the rear window.
The rear of the A6 Avant features a more pronounced diffuser that reflects Audi’s Avant identity. The extended wheelbase and engine hood further accentuate the A6 Avant’s sleek profile.
The interior offers a premium experience, complete with an optional panoramic glass roof, a light-filled cabin, a high-end sound system from Bang & Olufsen, and a four-zone automatic climate control system. Additionally, the adaptive air suspension adjusts the car’s height based on the road surface, improving shock absorption. Audi states that the steering characteristics on the latest A6 Avant are more responsive than ever, having been redesigned to be stiffer from the steering wheel to the wheels. The front camber has also been increased, resulting in improved driving responsiveness.
The A6 Avant will be offered with a range of engine options, including a 2.0 TDI 4-cylinder engine producing up to 150 kW and a 6-cylinder 3.0 TDI with 270 kW. These engines are paired with an environmentally friendly mild-hybrid electrification system. The mild-hybrid system integrates a 48V battery, a Belt Alternative Starter (BAS), and a Powertrain Generator (PTG) with integrated power electronics.
The PTG contributes up to 230 Nm of torque and up to 18 kW of power during acceleration or overtaking. The system can recover up to 25 kW of energy during deceleration.
Orders for the A6 Avant will open in March, with prices starting at 58,000 euros (approximately $63,200) for the TFSI model and 61,700 euros (approximately $67,200) for the 2.0 TDI with mild-hybrid technology.
