Authorities Seek Help Identifying Pickup Truck in Fatal Motorcycle Crash
The Oxford County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a pickup truck involved in a hit-and-run crash with a motorcycle on Sunday night in Woodstock, Maine. The incident occurred around 7:50 p.m. on South Main Street and Route 232, resulting in one fatality and one critical injury.
Upon arriving at 60-year-old man from Oxford, who was driving the motorcycle, died from his injuries. A 50-year-old woman from Oxford, who was a passenger on the motorcycle, remains hospitalized with significant injuries.
According to investigators, multiple motorcyclists reported that a gray, four-door diesel GM pickup truck was traveling in the right lane when the lead motorcycle attempted to pass it on the left. The truck allegedly veered left into the same lane as the motorcycle, causing the motorcyclist to lose control and crash into a wooded area. The pickup truck did not stop and continued south on Route 26.

The Oxford County Sheriff’s Office has released surveillance photos of the truck and is asking anyone with information to call them at 207-743-9554.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information about the vehicle or its driver to come forward.
