Auto Enthusiast Opens Luxury Car Storage Facility in San Antonio
SAN ANTONIO — Robert Elder, a San Antonio resident with a lifelong passion for fast cars, is set to open a luxury car storage facility on the north side of the city. Elder’s love for exotic vehicles was inspired by his father and has grown since his humble beginnings on a dirt road in Laredo, Texas.
“My dad got me into cars, and as my income grew, so did my collection,” Elder said. “I come from nothing. My family came from nothing.” Elder’s collection includes a 2017 Audi R8 Plus, a high-performance model with a 602 horsepower engine capable of reaching 205 miles per hour. “It’s a passion, a lifelong passion of mine,” he explained.
Elder has also been developing a concept called ‘Car Country Club,’ a community centered around exotic automobiles. Located in Stone Oak through Dream Garage Condos, the facility will offer amenities such as a pickleball court, walking trails, a dog park, and a kid’s playground. “San Antonio has a vibrant exotic car scene. You’re going to see everything from Ferraris to Lamborghinis to Bugattis,” Elder said. “We’re here to put smiles on people’s faces when they see these incredible vehicles.”
The Car Country Club aims to create a unique space for luxury car owners to store their vehicles while enjoying community amenities. With San Antonio’s thriving exotic car culture, Elder believes his project will be a great addition to the area.
