Cars can be expensive, and adding features like a sunroof or premium audio can quickly increase the price. However, it’s surprisingly easier to find a new vehicle under $30,000, even with popular features like driver-assist systems and all-wheel drive. To find these budget-friendly options, we looked at SUVs with a base price under $27,000. The good news? There are 15 budget models available, including one pickup truck. These vehicles often have cloth seating, and may lack features like power seats and additional USB ports, or come with a smaller touchscreen in the base model. Most are compact or sub-compact in size, and have smaller gas-only engines while still offering good fuel economy. They’re all excellent choices for first-time buyers or those looking to downsize.
