Fatal Crash in Boone
A tragic accident occurred Thursday morning in Boone, resulting in the death of one person. According to the Iowa State Patrol, a collision between two vehicles took place on Montana Avenue. The incident happened when an 89-year-old Boone resident, Dale Ray Crouse, driving a 2003 Ford Ranger pickup truck southbound, failed to yield to oncoming traffic. His vehicle was struck by a 2006 Ford Mustang driven by 17-year-old Aubrey Rose Alexander of Templeton, who was traveling eastbound.
Crouse was rushed to Boone County Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Fortunately, Alexander escaped the crash without any reported injuries. The Iowa State Patrol is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.
