Collision on Tom Austin Highway
GREENBRIER, TENNESSEE (Smokey Barn News) – A box truck and a pickup truck collided on Tom Austin Highway just outside of Springfield on Saturday afternoon. The pickup truck, which was hauling a trailer, sustained heavy damage in the impact, with the first 911 call coming in at 2:46 p.m.. The box truck landed on top of the pickup in the crash, which occurred at the intersection of Tom Austin Hwy and Chelsea Dr.
After checking with officials, there were no reports that anyone was transported from the scene, and no indication that any of the occupants sustained serious or life-threatening injuries. Miraculously, everyone involved in the crash walked away.
