Cadillac is set to broaden its flagship Escalade range with the introduction of the all-electric 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL. This new model promises increased passenger and cargo space, while upholding the luxury and technological innovation that defines the Cadillac brand.

“Escalade has been the best-selling luxury full-size SUV in North America since 2014,” said John Roth, Vice President of Global Cadillac. “With the Escalade IQL, Cadillac now offers a full lineup of internal combustion and all-electric Escalade options for our customers, no matter the propulsion.”
The Escalade IQL has been meticulously engineered to provide more room for passengers across all three rows and enhance storage capabilities. A noteworthy feature is the inclusion of a substantial “eTrunk” – a secure storage compartment located under the hood, offering 12.2 cubic feet of space.
Production of the Escalade IQL is slated to commence in mid-2025 at General Motors’ Factory ZERO plant in Detroit. The model will be available globally, including the U.S. and Canada.
Design and Interior Features
The Escalade IQL builds upon the design language of the Escalade IQ, presenting a lengthier, more commanding profile that enhances third-row space and increases rear cargo capacity. The interior embodies Cadillac’s dedication to luxury and advanced technology, including an optional Executive Second Row package. This package furnishes stowable tray tables, 12.6-inch personal screens, dual wireless charging pads, and massaging, heated, and ventilated seats with 14-way power adjustment.
Passengers in the third row will benefit from more than four additional inches of legroom compared to the Escalade IQ, accompanied by an extra inch of headroom, enhancing the overall spaciousness within the cabin.
“The Escalade IQL builds on our iconic Escalade DNA, with a commanding profile and additional cargo capacity,” noted Craig Sass, Cadillac’s design chief. “It’s a testament to Cadillac’s artful integration of luxury and innovation.”
Technology and Connectivity
The Escalade IQL boasts the latest cutting-edge technology from Cadillac. Key features encompass:
- A 55-inch curved pillar-to-pillar display, providing an immersive infotainment experience with voice control and dedicated Escalade IQL graphics.
- Seating for up to seven passengers with a power-folding third row for expanded cargo space.
- An AKG Studio 21-speaker audio system as standard, with an optional 42-speaker AKG Studio Reference system available with the Executive Second Row package.

The vehicle also incorporates vehicle-to-home (V2H) bidirectional charging capabilities. When paired with the GM Energy V2H Bundle, this feature allows for energy transfer between the vehicle and a properly equipped home during power outages or periods of high demand.
Performance and Driving Dynamics
Powered by a 24-module GM battery pack, the Escalade IQL is projected to deliver a range of up to 460 miles on a full charge. It also supports DC fast charging, enabling drivers to add approximately 116 miles of range in just 10 minutes.
The SUV’s electric powertrain delivers up to 750 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque in Velocity Max mode. This allows for acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in an estimated 4.7 seconds.
“The Escalade IQL delivers on the promise of innovative design paired with iconic performance,” stated Al Oppenheiser, chief engineer of the Escalade IQL. “It offers a spacious, luxurious ride while maintaining the driving dynamics and power our customers expect.”
The SUV’s chassis incorporates Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 and Air Ride Adaptive Suspension, providing precise steering while insulating passengers from road imperfections. The vehicle is capable of a maximum towing capacity of 7,500 pounds.
Pricing and Availability
The 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL will be available in four trims: Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury, and Premium Sport. The starting price is set at $132,695, including destination fees, though excluding taxes and other charges. Final prices may vary depending on the dealer.
The Escalade franchise has held a prominent position in the luxury SUV market for over 25 years, with global sales exceeding one million units. The introduction of the 2026 Escalade IQL, alongside the all-electric 2025 Escalade IQ and the refreshed internal combustion 2025 Escalade, positions Cadillac to remain a leading contender in the luxury SUV market for years to come.
