The Ten Best Cars of 2025
The Cadillac CT4 and CT5-V Blackwing are featured in Car and Driver’s list of the 10 Best Cars for 2025.
Winners of the 10Best award are invited to defend their position the following year. This process guarantees that the list represents the best of the modern automotive market in its entirety, rather than just what is new.
Consistent Excellence and Fresh Faces
The 2025 list includes mainstays like the Honda Accord, which has been recognized nearly 40 times since the award’s inception in 1983. Also making a strong showing is the entire Honda Civic lineup, a rarity in the automotive world.
Newcomers have also made their mark: the Tesla Model 3, known for its substantial range and improved driving experience over earlier models. The publication highlighted the Model 3’s advancements, marking its debut on the list with high praise.
Top Trucks, SUVs, and Vans
The 10Best trucks, SUVs, and vans list also presents notable vehicles.
The Ford Ranger Raptor is a new addition, lauded for its comprehensive capabilities, combining off-road prowess with a sports car’s driving dynamics. The Volkswagen ID.Buzz, a three-row electric van, also received high marks, prized for its quickness and distinctive design.
Emphasis on Value and Customer Benefit
Car and Driver places considerable weight on value and overall quality, giving less emphasis in the direct assessment on pure styling. Quiroga clarified their method, focusing on value and how well the car delivers on what it should.
