Chevrolet BrightDrop Electric Van Sees Significant Price Reduction

The Chevrolet BrightDrop electric van is now eligible for a substantial $25,500 cash discount through June 30. This offer applies to both the short-wheelbase BrightDrop 400 and long-wheelbase BrightDrop 600 EVs nationwide, with potential additional discounts available in certain locations.

This discount can be combined with the $7,500 federal tax credit, significantly lowering the vehicle’s price. For instance, the entry-level BrightDrop 400 starts at $78,625, including a $3,325 freight charge. With the cash discount, federal tax credit, and an additional $3,000 Costco Auto offer (available until May 31), the price drops by $36,325 to $42,300 – nearly half off.

To put this into perspective, an entry-level 2025 Chevrolet Express van starts at $43,695. The base BrightDrop 400 features a single front-mounted electric motor and a 14-module battery pack, offering a 159-mile combined driving range. In contrast, a fully-loaded BrightDrop with dual-motor all-wheel drive and a 20-module pack has an estimated 272-mile range. Its original list price of $82,725 can be reduced to $46,400 with the available discounts.

Despite these attractive offers, not all dealerships have adopted the discount. Potential buyers should verify availability with their local dealers before making a purchase. The Chevrolet BrightDrop, built in Canada on GM’s Ultium EV platform, has seen improved sales in recent times, with 1,529 units sold last year, though it still lags behind competitors like Rivian and Ford in the electric van market.

This significant price reduction presents an opportunity for small business owners seeking more affordable electric vehicle options. The combination of discounts and the federal tax credit makes the BrightDrop a more competitive choice in the commercial EV segment.
