Chinese Luxury SUV to Shake Up Market with Rolls-Royce Cullinan-Inspired Design
The excitement is building ahead of the Shanghai Auto Show with the upcoming debut of the Zeekr 9X, a Chinese luxury SUV that bears a striking resemblance to the Rolls-Royce Cullinan. This Geely-owned Zeekr model is expected to shake up the luxury SUV market with its premium design at a significantly lower price point, comparable to a standard family SUV.

Chinese consumers are increasingly turning to domestic automakers for luxury vehicles, with brands like Zeekr gaining popularity. The Zeekr 9X, in particular, has drawn comparisons to Western luxury SUVs, including the Range Rover and Rivian R1S, but most notably the Rolls-Royce Cullinan. The Zeekr’s iconic waterwall grille also echoes the design of Rolls-Royce’s high-end models, such as the Pantheon.

While details about the Zeekr 9X are still limited, the presence of an exhaust tailpipe suggests that it will be a hybrid model, rather than a pure electric vehicle like many of Zeekr’s other offerings. The anticipated price range for the Zeekr 9X is between $68,000 and $136,000, positioning it in the high-end BMW category, significantly lower than the Rolls-Royce Cullinan.
This Chinese luxury SUV has the potential to disrupt the market and may prompt Western luxury automakers to reevaluate their pricing strategies. As the automotive landscape continues to evolve, the Zeekr 9X is certainly a model to watch.
