Cleveland Police Locate Fourth Vehicle in Deadly Hit-and-Run Incident
Cleveland police have confirmed that they have located the fourth vehicle involved in a hit-and-run incident that resulted in the death of a 63-year-old man on Thursday morning. The vehicle, a 2014 white Nissan NV Cargo Van with Ohio license plate PJM-8686 and red lettering on the windows reading ‘Clifton Cleaners,’ was sought in connection with the fatal incident.
According to police, the incident occurred around 5:25 a.m. when the pedestrian entered the crosswalk against a red traffic signal at Denison Avenue and Ridge Road. A vehicle traveling westbound on Denison with a green light struck the pedestrian, who was then hit by three other vehicles. The fourth vehicle remained at the scene after dragging the pedestrian to the area near West Boulevard and Lorain Avenue, where it stopped.
As of Sunday, investigators had located all four vehicles involved in the incident. The fourth vehicle was towed and will be processed by police. No further details about the vehicle’s driver or occupants have been released.
The Cleveland Division of Police is continuing to investigate the incident and is reviewing evidence from the vehicles and other sources. The investigation is ongoing.
