COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – Firefighters in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, extinguished two separate fires involving GMC pickup trucks last weekend.
According to the Coeur d’Alene Fire Department, the first incident involved a truck whose tailgate caught fire, posing a potential threat to a nearby single-family home. Crews responded and quickly contained the blaze.
Approximately six hours later, a separate pickup truck experienced a similar fire in the parking garage of a high-rise building. Firefighters were also able to extinguish this fire successfully.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported in either incident.
The Coeur d’Alene Fire Department indicated that both GMC pickups had speakers installed in their tailgates, suggesting these may be isolated incidents. The Idaho State Fire Marshal’s Office is currently investigating the cause of the fires.
