CRESCO, IOWA – A Cresco man, 38-year-old Tyler Johnson, died Sunday evening in a single-vehicle crash in Howard County. The Iowa State Patrol confirmed the death, which occurred just before 5:30 p.m. on Valley Avenue, north of 90th Street, near Cresco.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, Johnson was driving northbound on Valley Avenue toward the Silver Creek Bridge when his vehicle struck the east guardrail. The pickup truck then rolled, ultimately landing on its driver’s side. Johnson was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
