MONTOUR COUNTY, PA (WBRE/WYOU) – Authorities are investigating the death of an 86-year-old Danville man following a fatal collision in Montour County. The Montour County Coroner’s Office and Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the incident.
According to the coroner’s report, Carl Swisher was driving northbound on State Route 11 when he attempted to turn left onto Groviana Drive in Cooper Township. While making the turn, Swisher’s vehicle entered the path of an oncoming pick-up truck, resulting in a collision.
Following the crash, Swisher was transported to Geisinger Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
