MOLINE, Ill. – Rock Island County Coroner Brian Gustafson has identified the man killed in a Tuesday crash as Logan A. Reyes, 24, of Davenport. Gustafson stated the preliminary cause of death was multiple traumatic injuries. Toxicology results are pending.
Police responded to the scene around 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of 70th Street and John Deere Road. The crash involved a 2010 Ford F150 pickup truck and a tandem axle Mack truck. According to police, Reyes was driving the pickup truck east on John Deere Road in the center lane and approaching a green light when he rear-ended the Mack truck at the intersection.
Reyes was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation into the crash is ongoing. Updates will be provided on-air and online as the story develops.
