Dearborn Heights Police Investigate Shooting Possibly Linked to Road Rage
DEARBORN HEIGHTS, Mich. (FOX 2) – Police in Dearborn Heights are investigating a shooting that occurred Tuesday afternoon, which may have originated from a road rage incident. The shooting involved a suspect in a black SUV who fired shots at a gray pickup truck in the vicinity of Hipp Street and Powers Avenue on the city’s south side.
Officers located the pickup truck and discovered it had been struck by gunfire. While no arrests have been made yet, Dearborn Heights police have identified a person of interest during the early stages of their investigation.
“We will follow through with this investigation until its conclusion and submit all information to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office for review,” a police spokesperson stated. “The Dearborn Heights Police Department is clear that it will not tolerate gun violence in our city, and the person(s) responsible will be held accountable.”
