Denver police arrested a driver they believe was impaired after he hit a scooter rider on East Colfax Avenue Sunday night. The crash happened around 8 p.m. in the 700 block of East Colfax, near the Fillmore Auditorium. Officers found the woman scooter rider unresponsive and she later died at a hospital. The driver, Kedrick Feldon, stayed at the scene. Police said Feldon was driving eastbound on East Colfax when he struck the victim, who was trying to merge into traffic on her scooter. Feldon was arrested and is being investigated for vehicular homicide.
