An elderly man drove his pickup truck through a section of the patio at Dixie’s Diner recently, causing significant damage. According to the Idaho Falls Police Department, the driver went over a cinder block barrier before crashing into the restaurant’s outdoor area and hitting a parked car.
Authorities were called to the scene, and a tow truck was required to remove the vehicle from the damaged structure. Damage is estimated to be around $6,000.
The patio area sustained the most notable damage, with a section of the wall destroyed by the impact. No injuries were reported in the incident.
